Step Away from the Game
Well, I’ve finally gotten into those blasted Playstation 2 games that my brother-in-law brought up here. I found a driving game called Burnout Revenge that I am totally hooked on. I stayed up until 2:30 this morning playing it! (But I also had another reason for staying up: keeping a fire.)
I’ve also warmed up to that WWE game that I mentioned in a previous post. It hasn’t gotten to the point of addiction or anything, but I do need to stop playing them so much. That’s time that could be better spent on more productive pursuits.
Pumpkin has also been playing it a lot, especially the wrestling game. It’s getting to the point where I have to put limits on it for her. I wouldn’t be opposed to buying a Playstation 3 myself, but I’m almost afraid to because I’d have to spend too much time policing it.
I’ll probably just leave well enough alone and let her enjoy the PS2 in moderation while it’s here, and refrain from buying any more game systems. The ones we have don’t interest her enough that she plays them every day, so I don’t have to keep telling her (or myself, for that matter) to turn them off.
