The Ups and Downs of Freelancing
Being a freelancer is awesome in many ways, but some things about it aren’t ideal. I’m fortunate to have a couple of rockin’ clients that give me work every month, yet it’s rather scary when I don’t have plenty of stuff lined up. I got down to just the project I’m working on currently and one that is due in a few weeks for a few days there, and I nearly freaked.
Actually, never mind nearly. I did freak. I looked at the freelance job boards for the first time in a few months. I even did an admin job search for steady jobs that allowed telecommuting. I found a few leads, but I didn’t act on them just yet.
I don’t guess I will be following up on them at all, because I now have another report lined up plus a promise of more work. Rock on. Now I have to worry about keeping up, but that’s nothing new. If I could ever get out of this mental fog and constant exhaustion I’m dealing with that wouldn’t be much of an issue, but that’s another story for another day. For now I’m just glad to have enough work that I need to be concerned about that.
