I finally put in my notice at my day job on Tuesday. I think I’ve got enough writing work coming in to justify it already, and I’m supposed to be getting more. Rock and roll!

I’ll be glad when I can get my laptop so I can get my work done without having to fight with my poky PC. Maybe one day I’ll have a state-of-the-art office and have to worry about things like power supply repair, but for now I’ll just be glad to have a computer that runs at a reasonable speed and doesn’t keep me chained to my desk all the time.

Once I work out my notice it will be time for Pumpkin to go back to school. I was hoping to quit earlier in the summer and get to spend more time with her, but unfortunately it didn’t happen that way. On the bright side, I’ll have several hours of uninterrupted writing time each day. Once I get adjusted to not having her around, that is.
